Somebody Has To Buy This Stuff...

... and it's me! Found some fun things at a few local antique malls here in Jefferson County MO recently. Only 3 things actually were purchased though, can you figure out which ones?

Jeez, you have a great place to shop! I'm guessing the groovy clock, Black Label coaster (if that's what it is), and Service with a Smile ashtray/candy dish.

Two out of three ain't bad! The clock, unfortunately, was $130.00 (!!!) so I got the chain drinking glass instead --I've recently been told that Skymall reintroduced the chain drinking glass in their airline catalogs to the suave, hands free drinking world :)

Not that I'm trying to wheedle you out of your secrets, but what antique malls? I only know of a few thrift stores here (speaking as a fellow Jefferson Countian).

A few?! You're not digging around Jeffco hard enough, my friend! ;) --check out Funky Junk in Festus (especially the lower level), but most of the stuff I bought was from a resale shop in High Ridge where Betty's Books used to be.

I know you had to have purchased The Chain Drinking Glass, but where's the pic of the dress you bought to wear with it?

Wear clothes while drinking?!! NEVER!!!

Service with a Smile- that's how I feel (and look) somedays.

I think, ultimately it's this Black Label thing that's my favorite here. I've seen lots of Black Label Beer stuff, but never anything with a cute cartoon before. The brand always seemed a little, uh, grumpier than that somehow? Also the manic three-armed man is really engaging!

Ah yes, Funky Junk. I've heard good things, but haven't been there yet. I haven't heard of the resale shop in House Springs. I live in northeastern Jeffco, so I'm not out that way much.

I love it too! There was actually another Black Label coaster at Funky Junk too, but it wasn't as interesting as this one (no 3-armed freak-out) so I passed on it.
