Sugar Bear in "The Robbery of the Public Library"

Almost one year ago, I posted an old 70's Sugar Bear cereal box premium, pocket-sized comic book called "The Great Gold Robbery" (click HERE to read it!) --and whata'ya you know, THE BLOB is back and trying to rob the library this time! If you need a scoop on what these incredibly awesome mini comics are all about, just check the other Sugar Bear post after you finish reading this kooky adventure... I actually meant to post this one at the same time last year and then totally misplaced it until now-- ENJOY!

Drinks of Hawaii

A fun little early 70's booze booklet from Honolulu, Hawaii, full of island concoctions to plaster your caster silly. I particularly love the funny Tom Rixford illustrations of Mr. C heavily sprinkled throughout all 60+ pages-- here are just a handful of my favorites-- Mahalo! :)

Elmer's Town-Line Liquors '59

I was saving this booklet for our usual "Christmas in July" fun, but then realized that it's not really all that xmassy except for a few assorted moments, and of course there's plenty of you out there that could use a drink all the time, or any 'ol time, errrrrr... so anyway-- here we go! And per the norm (since I'm not a drinker), I'm skipping most of the actual boozer recipe stuff, and instead focusing on the various awesome key art (by illustrator / art director, Ed Scott), which is generously sprinkled throughout this neato Elmer's Town-Line Liquors catalog from 1959.

So what'a ya waitin' for? Pick up the phone already and dial Victor 7-9777 --and bottom's up!

The Adventures of the Girl Phantom

When The Phantom falls ill and requires a little R&R to recover, his sister Julie fills in with much sexier, though somewhat varied results. From the January 1967 issue of King Features' The Phantom #20-- here we get an improvement installment of our boy in Bengali (I'll always prefer the female version over the dude version!) And gents, if there's one thing to learn from this thrilling tale of skin tight jungle adventure-- it's listen to the ladies when they're talking to you! TWEEEE!

Hope you came hungry and brought your cute lil bibs cuz it's time for some seriously fun cake and pie (and muffin!) ackshonz!!! :) All the information about this book can be found by clicking the PART ONE link above, and not to spoil the birthday party (which was on May 1st), but we'll return to this book later this summer for more delicious treats-- we can't eat them all now, can we? Don't answer that...
